paperthin hymn | 9:11 AM
This is a one-shot. I've been finding Josh appear lest frequently in photos, and I was feeling pretty sad for him. He's been pretty out lately. So, this is my take on things. It's a small Joshayley

Paperthin Hymn
One-shot

“Josh! Dude, where’re you going man? We’ve got meet and greet in an hour!” Taylor yelled out of the bus, in the direction of the slowly disappearing figure of Josh Farro.

When his best friend simply ignored him, Taylor felt a twinge of hurt in his chest at the rejection he had just received, but shrugged it off as he went to get ready for the New York meet and greet.

It had been that way for majority of their latest tour: Hayley practically glued to Jeremy’s side, Zac and Taylor were like typical teenage BFFs, while Josh simply went on his own. He would miss out on their lunch outings and band meetings to be by himself. Be it taking a walk around the venue or just taking a stroll around the city that they stopped in, he was alone. During meet and greets, he was distant and usually stood by himself until a fan came by, only then did he attempt to make awkward chit-chat. Other times, he failed to even show up, and fans were disappointed to meet only four members of their favourite band.

While most of the other band members and crew were worried about him, they left him alone to his thoughts. Even Zac couldn’t get him to open up, as Josh normally kept his emotions under lock and key – with the occasional song being written, where he poured everything out – but no song was currently in production, and they were confused by his behaviour.

“Is he coming?” asked Hayley as she put on her makeup in the mirror. Taylor shrugged and went on his way, while she sighed in reply.

Despite them not being the best of friends as before, he was still one of her closest friends. When she realized how much their relationship had faltered during the past few months, she was in distress. What would she be without Josh? He was somewhat of her muse, after Chad, of course. She was afraid of him now. The Josh Farro from when Paramore had first started was gone, she hoped not forever, but it was obvious that he wasn’t coming back for a while.

The fun Josh, the caring and loving Josh, the Josh that was hers had died, and now what remained of him was a scarred and emotionally distressed ghost of him. The ghost left destruction and confusion in his wake, unintentionally hurting those that loved him the most, and no one knew why they were being snapped at. Even Hayley was kept in the dark, and it hurt that Josh didn’t trust her enough to tell her.

Hayley applied the last of her mascara and took off from the bus, in pursuit of Josh. He wasn’t going to miss another meet and greet. Not on her watch.

Although she figured he must have been rather far from the bus by then, she managed to catch the obvious pattern of his favourite hoodie and his form rounding the corner of a building in the distance. She quickly gave chase and stayed closely behind his walking form when she finally caught up with him. She decided to keep silent by his side, and if he had noticed her presence, he did not show it.

While they walked in awkward silence for at least 10 minutes, Hayley found that staring at her converse shoes was the best way to ease the uneasy feeling churning in the pit of her stomach. This probably was one of the most uncomfortable moments she had ever been in with Josh, excluding their breakup. She jerked her head up when she saw that they had stepped onto a grass patch. Her jaw dropped in astonishment as multicoloured flowers flooded into view. It was one of the most beautiful parks she had ever seen in her life. It was more beautiful than her favourite park in Franklin – coming from her, a loyal Franklin-nite, that was probably one of the best compliments she could ever give to a town that wasn’t her home. Situated at one corner of the park, was a quaint little playground, which Josh immediately headed towards, quickening his pace with every few steps.

Hayley smirked as she realized how, somewhere deep within, Josh was still the goofy thirteen year old boy that was her best friend. They sat themselves on the wooden swings as their minds wandered into space for a good period of time.

“I’m sorry…” It was barely considered a whisper, but they were the first words spoken between them since they embarked on their journey from the bus.

“Don’t be” Hayley replied gently, afraid that if she had said it any louder, the moment between them would shatter.

Josh put his fingers to the bridge of his nose and let out a deep sigh. He shook his head before continuing.

“No, you don’t understand. Hayley, I just can’t take it anymore. The long months of touring, the fame, the fact that we have to play the same old thing over and over again and honestly, I don’t know if I can hold up any longer. I constantly tell myself, ‘It’s just another night, Josh, you can get through it’, but I can’t… ”

He brushed the unshed tears from his chocolate brown eyes before they threatened to spill from his eyelids. Hayley couldn’t help but feel her eyes water as she saw the pained expression on his face, the desperate look in his eyes; a look of anguish and agony.

Hayley rose from her cross-legged perch on the swing and enveloped her best friend in a hug, the biggest hug she could manage, considering the size that she was. She stroked his hair in a comforting gesture as he began to let out violent sobs over her shoulder.

Hayley rocked her best friend back and forth as they sat on the dry blades of grass from the playground and began to hum a song. She began to sing their song as she placed a soft kiss on his forehead.

They're playing our song
They're playing our song
Can you see the lights?
Can you hear the hum?

Of our song
I hope they get it right
I hope we dance tonight
Before we, get it wrong

And the seasons
Will change us new
Be the best I've known
and you know me
I could not be stuck on you
If it were true

I was sleeping
My eyes were dark
Til you woke me
And told me that opening
is just the start
it was

Now I see you, til kingdom come
You're the one I want
To see me for all the stupid shit I've done

Soil and six feet under
Killed just like we were
Before you knew you'd know me
And you know me

Blooming up from the ground
3 Rounds and a sound
Like whispering you know me
And you know me

So this was our song
This was our song
I still see the lights
I can see them

And the criss cross
Of what is true, won't get to us
Cause you know me
I could not give up on you

And the fog of what is right
Won't cover us cause you know me
I could not give up a fight

Soil and six feet under
Killed just like we were
Before you knew you'd know me
And you know me

When It Rains | 7:26 AM
Hey hey! It's been a while, and I MIGHT HAVE given up on my Joshayley fic.
But right now, I've been focusing on another couple, a fictional ship.
Chuck Bartowski/Sarah Walker, from the TV show, Chuck!
Hahaha, so here goes. I know no one read this, but what the heck (:

Written to the song "When It Rains" By Paramore

___________

And when it rains,
On this side of town,
It touches everything,

Just say it again and mean it,
We don't miss a thing

Ellie Bartowski sighed deeply as she sat in her favourite armchair, flipping through the channels of the living room television. She watched as her beloved brother shuffled slowly out of his room into the bathroom, clad in his pyjama pants and a plain grey shirt, at five o’clock in the afternoon. Devon was working a shift at the hospital today, but she had the day off and she wasn’t going to waste another minute.

She was going to force her brother’s life back on track, even if she had to take thousands of vacation days off. She had had enough.

You made yourself a bed at the bottom of the blackest hole,
(Blackest hole)

And convinced yourself that it's not the reason
You don't see the sun anymore

It had been at least two months since Sarah left, and Chuck grounded himself in his room, since the very day where she took off on a plane to leave a pair of heartbroken Bartowski’s in her wake. She hadn’t even bothered to say goodbye to Ellie.

Ellie loved Sarah like a sister, and she took her leaving as a sign of betrayal; a stab in the back. Ellie could only imagine the pain her brother was going through. And she was hoping to do something – anything – to get him back on his two feet.

And oh, oh, how could you do it?
Oh, I, I never saw it coming
And oh, oh, I need the ending
So why can't you stay just long enough to explain?

“Chuck, honey, I’m gonna take a stroll down the neighbourhood, care to join me?” Ellie called out from the living room.

And when it rains,
Well, you always find an escape
Just running away from all of the ones who love you
From everything

A barely audible “no thanks” was the only response she received, before his bedroom door was slammed shut.

Her vision was blurred by tears that welled up in her eyes. She wondered how much more of this suffering he had to go through, before he stopped pushing everyone away. She felt the ever-strong bond between them begin to strain as he constantly refused to talk to her, or anyone for that matter.

You made yourself a bed at the bottom of the blackest hole

(Blackest hole)
And you'll sleep till May
And you'll say that you don't wanna see the sun anymore

Ellie knew that he needed his space, but she could take it no longer. She walked right into his room and dumped a tub of ice cold water onto his bed.

“Ellie! What the hell?!” He screamed as the full force of the cold invaded his senses.

“Chuck, honestly, I love you, but this has got to stop! You’ve barely talked to anyone in the past two months, and you’ve hardly left your room. I know you miss her, I do too, but we have to move on, together. Please Chuck, I need my brother back. I don’t want this emotionless ghost of Chuck Bartowski”

Take these chances to turn it around
(Take your time)
Just take these chances
We'll make it somehow
And take these chances to turn it around
(Take my...)
Just turn it around

Chuck sat shivering on his drenched bed, quietly pondering each sentence, each word, and each phrase that his sister had spoken. He knew how right she was, and he knew how much sense she was making, but he just couldn’t snap out of his depression; it wasn’t that easy.

When Sarah Walker had been reassigned and forced to leave Los Angeles, – The intersect was finally out of his head, courtesy of his father, and General Beckman felt that Sarah would be more useful to other prospects of the CIA and NSA– She had left with a piece of Chuck Bartowski, more specifically, his heart.

Every time he closed his eyes, she would appear in his head. He would dream of her constantly, and sometimes he swore that he could hear her voice calling his name. He was a heartbroken man on the verge of going mad. He missed her too much for his own good.

“Chuck?” Ellie spoke, her tone softer than before.

Chuck stood up and wrapped his arms around his sister, letting loose the floodgates. Tears flowed freely from his eyes, and soon Ellie began to weep as well. The siblings hugged and cried, and cried and hugged, oblivious the figure of Sarah Walker standing at the window, with tears streaming down her face and suitcase in hand.

And oh, how could you do it?
Oh, I, I never saw it coming
Oh, oh, how could you do it?
Oh, I, I never saw it coming
Oh, oh, how could you do it?
Oh I, I never saw it coming
Oh, oh, I need an ending
So why can't you stay just long enough to explain?

Hello there, and welcome to PARAPERRYFICTIONS!
I'm Ven, and I write Paramore/Chuck fanfiction. I know some people think fanfiction is a little weird, especially if it's Paramore fics. But you could just think of it as reading a story with the names being coincedentally similar to that of the band members.

I post my Chuck fics on FF.net, and Paramore fics on Buzznet. Both will be posted here as well! So enjoy, even if my writing isn't that great :D

Stories that I have written/in the process of writing:
